General Features
Equipped with the most modern drive and control technology, the Kapp KX 300 provides
the highest productivity and flexibility for hard finishing of gears and profiles.
The KX 300 is a modular system capable of using various tool and processing technologies
enabling machine customization to meet specific application requirements.

Tooling Concept
Only non-dressable hard finishing tools are used in the process. They consist of a
hardened steel body with ground base profile and a galvanically applied single layer
of CBN abrasives. To divide the stock removal action, a roughing and a finishing tool
are employed consecutively in one single set-up.
As an alternative, also one or multi-rib CBN profile grinding wheels can be employed,
typically when full-form grinding is required.
|
Special Features
The KX 300 is designed for hard gear finishing with non-dressable tools by continuous
generating grinding as well as discontinuous grinding, i.e. with single indexing. The
machine is of extremely rigid construction, easily and quickly to set up and very well
suited for integrating automation systems.
Depending on the processing task, custom solutions, such as machining of two gears in
one set-up, can be realized.
