Application Range
Hard finishing of external spur and helical gears using our registered CORONING® process.
This process is most suitable for hard finishing gears with limited geometry, such as so-called shoulder gears.

Tooling Concept
  • Non-dressable KAPP CORONING tool
  • Tool body:
    • hardened and form-ground steel ring
    • galvanically bonded single layer of diamond
  • No tool maintenance (dressing)
  • KAPP is service partner for tool and machine

    Direct rotary drive of the workpiece, installed in the machine bed, complete with centering taper for locating workpiece-dependent clamping devices
